Observations based on 9 months of greenhouse growing with an 18 h photoperiod and variable supplemental lighting (LED/HPS) of 3–8 h depending on the season.

Results valid as a reference for hybrid greenhouse growing (glass or polycarbonate).

Plants under LED lighting are in better overall health.
Under HPS lamps, there is notably a greater presence of mites and powdery mildew.
Plant vigour is equivalent in both greenhouses.

Growth is faster under the LED X-VEG 200W grow lights.

Internodes are tighter under the LED X-VEG 200W grow lights.

The climate is warmer and drier with the HPS Gavita 400W lamps.
