As part of this project, we implemented a dual optimization of energy consumption:
Custom manufacturing of stainless steel shelves to optimize growing space.
Integration of a switch and dimmer per shelf, allowing the creation of 24 test zones per growing room.
Each climate chamber has been equipped with custom LED tubes (in terms of length, mounting, and power) to ensure perfect light homogeneity. The shelves, custom-designed in Switzerland, feature 24 removable trays, each equipped with an independent switch and dimmer, offering the possibility to create 24 simultaneous test zones.
Thanks to variable transformers and LED tubes with click connectors, this innovative configuration allows the research team to easily update their equipment, whether with optional LED bars with varied spectra or by installing a centralized controller.
To ensure perfect compatibility with the existing infrastructure, we have designed a custom solution. This includes the development of UV-resistant transformers, mountings, cables, and click connectors, offering quick and flexible installation. This design is intended to simplify long-term maintenance, thanks to fully replaceable individual components.
At F.O.G, each component of the luminaires can be replaced in case of failure, offering an economical and sustainable solution. This approach allows the producer to carry out the interventions themselves, reducing maintenance costs while ensuring optimal long-term use.
